I had an image in my head of exactly how I wanted it to look and I was not going to rest until I had achieved that image. And I am so pleased to say that this is exactly how I had envisaged it to be! The blanket design is inspired by my youngest star. He is in love with all things rainbow and stars at the moment – hence the colours and design. The finished blanket measures approximately 38 inches by 54 inches but you can, of course make this any size you wish by simply making fewer or more squares. I made the blanket in the photos using Stylecraft Special DK but it works equally as well in any weight yarn providing the same is used throughout. I would suggest that this pattern is for crocheters with intermediate skills and above. Both US and UK terminology patterns are included.
