Since my visit to the Chelsea Flower Show last year I have had a tiny seed of an idea ticking away at the back of my head for a crochet design, and finally, during lockdown, the seed grew and my Chelsea Flower Show cushion has become a reality. The cushion cover is made in a cotton and merino mix, with a simple overlap opening at the back. The front of the cover is decorated with Verbascums, Daisies and Poppies. The cover is made first, with the flowers being made seperately and sewn on afterwards. The cushion has pompom edging stitched at each side seam but homemade pompoms could be used instead.
