Since it’s original release in 2022, the Birds of a Feather Blanket pattern has been updated to include two versions of this crochet textured square blanket. This pattern is absolutely full of every single detail you could need to create your own version.  Pattern Details PDF Pattern Updated on April 23, 2024 now includes:  As some of you may have seen, Bonnie from Green Letter Day Yarn, and Lacy, from A Yarny Homestead, recently made a second version of my blanket using two colors for the squares. Two patterns in one!  Skill Level: Advanced Beginner Hook Used: Uses a 4.5mm/G+ crochet hook. If you choose to go up or down in yarn weight, adjust your hook size according to your yarn label’s instructions. May want to try a 3.75mm/F hook if you choose to do the two-color square.  Construction: Granny Squares that can be joined as you go or seamed at the end. All information and video links are available in the pattern.  Size: – Each square is 5 inches x 5 inches large (13 cm x 13 cm)  If using DK weight yarn your finished blanket will be 65 inches (165 cm) by 65 inches (165 cm). The two-color square chart provides you with instructions for a 90 block blanket, measuring 38″ x 43″ – this can be adjusted to be larger or smaller.  Yarn: I am using a DK weight yarn. You do not have to use DK weight. You can use any weight that suits your needs.
