Also, depending on the brand of yarn and your beautiful head size you may need to use a different size crochet hook. Crochet Flower Bucket Hat Pattern Floral side of the hat; (Crochet 5 blocks) Round 1 (yellow): CH 3 SS into first CH to create a circle CH 3 (counts as first DC) 11 DC into circle (12 DC total with CH 3) SS into top of first CH3 + fasten off Round 2 (white): attach white to top of any stitch from R1 (CH3 + tc2tog) + CH 2 ( 1 petal) *(tc3tog + CH 2) repeat from * in each stitch (12 petals total) SS to top of first petal + fasten off Round 3 (Linen): attach linen into any CH2 space CH 3 + 2DC into same space (this makes half of your first corner) into next 2 CH2 spaces work 3HDC in next space work *(3DC + CH2 + 3DC) + in next 2 spaces work 3HDC repeat from * until you reach the space with half of your first corner 3DC + CH2 into first space you worked in to complete this corner SS to top of CH3 ( Don’t fasten off continue R4 in same color) Round 4: working back into CH2 space you just made work 1SC + CH1 (counts as first HDC) + 2HDC in same space (this makes half of your first corner) into next 3 spaces between 3HDC from R3 work 3HDC *3HDC + CH2 + 3HDC into corner then 3HDC into next 3 spaces repeat from * until end of round 3HDC + CH2 into first space you worked in to complete this corner SS to top of first CH2 + fasten off Joining: You will need to crochet 1 complete block before you can start joining the blocks with the join as you go method blocks 2-4 are joined the same way complete 1 of the 4 sides of R4 when you come to your first full corner you will work 3HDC + CH1 grab your completed block and work a SS into any corner to join the two blocks finish this corner by working 3HDC into same space *SS into next space of finished block 3HDC into space repeat until you get to next corner into corner work 3HDC + SS into corner of finished block + CH1 + 3HDC You are now done joining this side and continue R4 as normal. repeat this joining method for another 2 blocks attaching side to side to join the 5th and final block repeat steps above after joining 1 side complete 3rd side and to join the 4th side fold your work into a band and attach to first block.
